For nearly forty years, Doris was a teacher on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. She taught English at Easton High School, Chesapeake College, and The Country School. She has retired twice, but the first one didn’t stick. Although she enjoyed the delightful retirement parties, witty cards, and unexpected gifts, this second retirement is her last. Also, she finds that life as a senior citizen supplies plenty of thought-provoking material.
